Honors: He has been a member of MHSAA for over 50 years, he umpired high school football, basketball, and baseball games from 1942-1960, he umpired MSU baseball (non conference games in the 1950’s and early 1960’s for John Kolbs and Dan Litwiler, umpired Mens and Womens fastpitch baseball and softball 1942 through 1975, umpired for Boys Junior baseball, umpire for Mens State Championship Fastpitch Baseball for 20 years, umpire for Women’s Fastpitch State Championships on and off 1960-1970, Men’s Fastpitch Softball, District and State Championships 1949-1970, umpired Mens Fastpitch Softball National Championships 1949-1950, chosen to umpire the State Championships for Fastpitch Softball for over 20 years, honored by local TV stations 6, 10 & 53, named the Unsung Hero by Channel 6, recognized “twice” by “The Old Timers Association” and received Plaques
