Nomination Criteria
Individuals (Individual Nominee Listing)
- Graduates of a Greater Lansing Area High School or a high school equivalent and/or have attended a Greater Lansing Area High School for at
least two years, and/or - Individual State Champion, and/or
- All-State First Team or All-State Dream Team, and/or
- All-American Team, and/or
- Exemplary Service
Teams (Team Nominee Listing)
- Greater Lansing Area High School team whose members are all high school graduates or high school equivalent and/or have attended a
Greater Lansing Area High School for at least two years, and/or - Be a winner of a State Championship, and/or
- Have an outstanding, verifiable record
Coaches and Notables
- Graduates of a Greater Lansing Area High School or a high school equivalent and/or have attended a Greater Lansing Area High School for at
least two years, and/or - Exemplary Service, and/or
- Coach-of-the-Year recipient
Selection Process
Anyone may nominate an eligible individual or team by filling out and submitting a Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame Nomination Form. Instructions and current submission deadline is included on the Nomination Form. Be sure to fill out the form completely and submit all required documentation. Nominations need only be submitted once. Unselected nominations are carried over on an annual basis for review.
All nominations are reviewed by the Selection Committee of the Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame, normally in November of each year, with final selections announced in December.
New members of the Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame are officially inducted into the Hall at our annual Induction Dinner/Ceremony held at the Lansing Center in July, following their selection date.
