HONORS: Bowling – Inducted – Greater Lansing Area Bowling Hall of Fame (1999), (4) State tournament titles – 1976 Team Actual, 197 Team Handicap, 983 Team Actual (Captain), 1994 Doubles Actual (1486 score was the 2nd highest all-time score in the history of the State Tournament, (2) State Tournament Team Actual Runners-Up and (1) 3rd place, (6) Lansing City Tournament titles, 1988 Lansing City Tournament Doubles title with Dan Cadwell (record score of 1532), (19) perfect 300 games, (9) 800 series, (230) High Average for Season, All-time record 858 Series in tournament competition (290-300-268) in 1987, (29) consecutive strikes in one series…still current city record, (33) out of (36) strikes in one series, (4) time Mini-Match Bowler of the Year…only one other bowler has two B.O.Y. titles in 20 year history of the organization, record (3) Mini-Match Titles in one season (out of 6 tournaments), (4) All-City Team selections, (3) All-City Senior Team selections, (1) National Senior Bowling Association Title (Midwest Bowling Organization), 309 Team Series State record in 1987 as Captain of the Chuck’s Pro Shop Team (was 2nd highest score in the nation & 14th highest score in ABC history), (1) Lansing Area Match Game Doubles Championship, 1320 Team Game City Record as captain in 1987, Many Classic League Championships, Past President/Life Member – Lansing Bowling Association, 2005 Captain of Looking Glass Inc. bowling team which shot the highest game of the 2005 American Bowling Congress National Championship in Baton Rouge, LA against more than 22,000 other teams. Team also finished 50th in the event, Numerous other local individual and team tournament titles, (35) years of sanctioned league and tournament bowling.
