Honors: Proprietor Velvet Rail Billiards for 15 years, developed annual seminar for operator through B.C.A. (Billiard Congress of America), hosted 1968 U.S. Open at Lansing Civic Center, Chief Tournament Referee for B.C.A. more than a decade, President of B.C.A. Proprietors, sanctioned more B.C.A. Tournaments during his 15 years than any other proprietor, instrumental in having the laws changed enabling young people to come into billiard rooms, and in upgrading the game of billiards, sponsored annual Oldsmobile Leagues and annual Tournaments for Boys Club of Lansing, sponsored more women’s tournaments than any other proprietor, encouraged LCC to offer a class instructing Pocket Billiards, received award from B.C.A. for the promotion and development of women’s billiards.
