HONORS: This team carried on the winning tradition at Sexton and in a thriller, defeated a previously undefeated Benton Harbor team by a 31-30 score. Bennie Oosterbaan, Michigan’s coach, said, “I’ve watched these state tournaments for 20 years or so and I unhesitatingly say the Sexton team of this year was as good as any I have seen.” Coached by Al Bovard.
